GASHAGUA’S TERROR ATTACK IN LIMURU

 On 28th of November former deputy president has been attacked by goons while attending a burial ceremony in limuru. The mayhem forced him to flee for his dear life as the goons hit his car. Rigathi gashagua says he was attending his friend’s burial ceremony Erastus Nduati.

The incident which occurred during a funeral in Limuru, Kiambu County where chaos has erupted leading to abduction of former Limuru member of parliament, Peter Mwathi, and Bibironi member of county assembly Christopher Ireri by unidentified men. Former deputy president has blamed the ruto’s allies for causing disruption to social gatherings. Seats and tents has been destroyed as the goons threw the seats over and over to gashagua and leaders who accompanied him. Several injuries has been reported following the attack .Residents also says that the police had ignored security threats in the area as there were signs of attack throughout the occasion. 


This incident has been condemned countrywide by gashagua’ s counterparts and other opposition leaders’ .They claims that the government should provide security to its citizen in social occasions and they should not support any form of impunity in a democratic nation like Kenya. Wiper party leader kalonzo Musyoka one of the opposition leaders has strongly condemned the attacks and abductions that happened in limuru.Kalonzo says the attack were state sponsored and criticized the government for elegantly orchestrating the violence.




The Directorate of Criminal Investigation vowed to conduct an investigation by questioning some of the leaders and members of public who attended the chaotic burial. They also sought to understand why the first term Limuru kept away from VIP tent. By this means the DCI has promised that those involved would be brought to trial in a court of law.
